Alice Springs can provide a wide selection of tourist accommodation. It is the only place in central Australia that provides for touists wanting to explore thye region and se places like Ayres Rock and Kings Canyon. Alice Springs is the only place you can stay at in the surrounding five hundred kilometres except for the resorts at Ayres Rock itself or at Kings Canyon. Tour operators use Alice Springs as their accommodation base and all coach tous coming to the red centre stay here.

Accommodation can be found for all purposes. Camping grounds, Caravan parks, backpacker hostels, hotels and motels are all available plus there are some, top of the range, five star resorts and even a casino with excellent resort style accommodation. There is definately something here to suit all budgets. Nearly all of the Alice Springs accommodation is either in the central commercial area or very close to it, so it is possible to walk to most of the towns shops, cafes and restaurants.
